Diaspora Returned

Home is where you make it. A place where you dwell, where you belong, where you live, where your family is, a territory. It could be a language.

Home is all these great people to whom you have a pleasant relationship. Home is identity.

Many families left Gweedore, in the north west of Donegal, to make a living abroad between 1950 and 1960. They left mainly to Scotland, England and the U.S.A..

Their children were born and raised there. By now, many of these son's and daughters have returned, each with their own idea of home & reasoning.

These photographs show only few of the Gweedore Diaspora Returned.
